Create New Customers in Dealerware Web or Mobile.
Dealerware Web
Before you start
- You can create a new customer by accessing either the Customers tab in the left navigation bar or the Customers tile in the Command Center located in the central interactive pane
Steps to create a new customer profile from the left navigation bar
- Click the Customers button in the left navigation bar
- Click the Add Customer button in the upper-right corner of the Customers pane
- Enter the customer's first name, last name, mobile number, preferred language (English or French), and email address (email is optional for customers in the United States but mandatory for customers in Canada)
- If you want to include a customer’s drivers license, insurance, and payment details during this process, you must create a new customer in the Customers tile in the Command Center located in the central interactive pane
- Click Add Customer. This action creates a new customer profile
- Locate the new customer details by entering the customer’s name in the search bar in the Customers pane

- Click the Add button in the Customers tile in the Command Center located in the central interactive pane
- This action will open a fly-in on the right side of the screen in which to enter new customer details
- Enter the customer's first name, last name, mobile number, preferred language (English or French), and email address (email is optional for customers in the United States but mandatory for customers in Canada)
- You can also enter a customer’s drivers license, insurance, and payment details during this process, though entering these details is not mandatory
- Click Save. This action creates a new customer profile
- Locate the new customer details by entering the customer’s name in the search bar in the Customers pane. You can also click either the left navigation arrow or the right navigation arrow on the bottom right to locate a customer
Dealerware Mobile
Before you start
- Use the driver's license scanner in Dealerware Mobile when possible to create a customer profile. The driver’s license scanner uses the information on a driver’s license to populate the fields necessary to create a customer profile
Steps to create a new customer
- Tap the Customers button in the bottom navigation bar
- Tap the blue-colored plus sign on the bottom right
- Scan the front and back of a customer’s driver’s license. Scanning a driver’s license populates the fields necessary to create a customer profile
- Manually create a customer profile if you cannot leverage the functionality of the driver’s license scanner
- Manually create a customer profile by tapping the blue-colored plus sign on the bottom right. This action will open the driver’s license scanner
- Override the scanner by tapping the X in the upper-left corner. This action opens the Customer Details form in which to enter customer information
- Enter the customer's first name, last name, mobile number, preferred language (English or French), and email address (email is optional for customers in the United States but mandatory for customers in Canada)
- Tap Save. This action creates a new customer profile
