Each individual vehicle has a Vehicle Details page, where you can update the vehicle's information and review the vehicle history. The top left corner displays the vehicle’s basic information.
Details
The Details tab displays a vehicle’s model, VIN, license plate, registration info, stock number, mileage, and toll barcode (if applicable).
Status
The Status tab allows you to view and update the current status of the vehicle.
The Available On field records the date that a vehicle can be used. Dealerware will only allow contracts to start after a vehicle’s Available On date.
The Unavailable On field records the date that an active vehicle should be retired from the fleet. Use the Unavailable On field to ensure vehicles do not exceed OEM or dealer group limits. Dealerware will prevent a contract from being started with a vehicle after its Unavailable On date.
Physical location is a field that appears when searching for vehicles and in the Vehicle Inventory report. This field can be used to make notes about the vehicle’s location.
Position
The Position tab provides the GPS location of a vehicle equipped with Connected Car Services. The vehicle’s position is displayed on an interactive map. By default, you cannot open this tab if the vehicle is under contract or the car is not equipped with Connected Car Services.
QR Code
Dealerships can use vehicle QR codes to start a contract, finish a contract, or manage a vehicle in Dealerware Mobile.
Contract History
The Contract History is a list of all contracts associated with a vehicle. The list includes the contract ID, customer name, contract status, contract starting and ending time, mileage, fuel level, and total charges to the customer are also provided.
Event History
The Event History tab shows which service advisor started and finished a contract on the vehicle. Vehicles equipped with Connected Car Services will generate additional events.
Notes
The Notes tab lists all Vehicle Notes for a specific vehicle. A vehicle note differs from a Vehicle Issue which is used for tracking damage to the vehicle. The note includes the date and the employee who created the note.
Issues
The Issues tab is a list of all Vehicle Issues associated with a vehicle. Dealerware Web is the only place to see resolved issues.
Each issue includes these details:
- Photo- a picture of the damage
- Created – a date stamp for when the issue was added to Dealerware
- Contract ID – if the issue was created while starting or finishing a contract, the issue will be associated with the contract
- Created By – the employee who entered the issue
- Description – details about the issue
- State – either opened or resolved
Issues created using Dealerware Mobile may include images; you cannot add images in Dealerware Web. View images by clicking on the picture icon at the right.
Toll History
Toll History is for vehicles equipped with a Dealerware Toll Services. Toll History will display a timestamp, description, and toll amount.
