Before creating a new customer in Dealerware, it is best practice to always search for the customer to see if they already have a profile.
If the customer does not have a profile, you can add a new customer in Dealerware Mobile or Dealerware Web.
It is recommended that you add any new customers in Dealerware Mobile to utilize the scan the license and credit card function, and capture an image of customer insurance.
Once a customer profile has been created, the profile cannot be removed in either Dealerware Mobile or Dealerware Web.
To create a Customer in Dealerware Web:
- Login to my.dealerware.com
- Select Customers in the main menu
- Select + New Customer
- Enter in customer First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number*, and Email Address* (email is optional for customers in the United States, mandatory for customers in Canada)
- Select Add Customer
- Select View new Customer Profile
- Complete the remaining sections of the customer profile in Customer Details
*The customer's contract and a receipt will be texted (in the United States) or emailed (in Canada) to this number/ email.
