Top Questions & Answers from the Webinar
What are the monthly costs or fees for this service?
The Vehicle Groups feature is available to all Dealerware customers for no additional charge.
Can I change a vehicle group when a car is in a rented status?
No. This is to prevent important settings such as cost recovery from changing for a customer in a started contract.

Is the option to enable or disable collecting a customer credit moved to vehicle groups?
Yes. When editing a vehicle group, the first option in Cost Recovery is to enable collecting a customer credit card. If this is enabled for at least one vehicle group, all customer profiles will be required to have a credit card in Dealerware Mobile.

Can I start a contract for a customer in Dealerware Mobile, regardless of which vehicle group a vehicle is in?
In Dealerware Mobile, you can see the Vehicle Group assigned to a vehicle so you can assign customers accordingly. The only qualification relating to a customer is driver minimum age, which can now be set on a per Vehicle Group basis.

When using the Daily Rate feature, is there a grace period for calculating daily charges?
No. Dealerware counts each day as a 24 hour period based on the actual pickup and actual drop-off listed on the contract. So if a contract length is 25 hours, this would count as two contract days.
