Please follow these steps to generate and send a vehicle rental quote to a Customer. This is only applicable if you do not have the Dealerware Booking Site. If you do have the Dealerware Booking Site, quotes will automatically generate and send to the Customer during the reservation booking flow. Log into Dealerware Web
Create Customer Profile
Navigate to Customers
Click + Customer
Enter First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number
Save
Book a Contract (for Quote Only)
Select “Create Contract” in bottom of customer profile
Set the contract duration to match the days being quoted
Save the booked contract with the correct program assigned
Generate the Quote Invoice
Go to the Billing tab within the newly created contract
Click “Download Invoice”
Review invoice for accuracy and pricing
Provide the Quote to the Customer
Send the downloaded invoice to the customer (email or print)
Clearly state it is a quote, not a finalized charge
Manage Post-Quote Actions
If the customer declines: Void or cancel the pending contract in Dealerware.
If the customer accepts: Start the contract on the appropriate date and the "quote" would turn into their actual invoice.
