Overview
Transaction fees are fees applied to each transaction processed and settled through Dealerware, excluding declined transactions.
The current transaction fee is as follows:
5% per transaction, regardless of the credit card issuer.
What does the Transaction Fee cover?
The processing of the transaction by Dealerware's payment processor, Braintree Marketplace.
The monthly reimbursement of all transactions that are successfully processed through Dealerware.
The process in which Dealerware handles customer transaction disputes (chargebacks)
Transaction Fee Example
Driver A returns their vehicle and finishes their contract on October 5th. Upon vehicle return, the customer is charged $10.00 in fuel.
The dealership is reimbursed in the amount of $9.50 in their November reimbursement: $10.00 fuel charge - 5% (0.50).
