To successfully install the Connected Car Device [CCD] in your vehicle, you'll need to:
- Add the Vehicle to Dealerware
- Properly Position Vehicle
- Physically Install the CCD
Add Vehicle to Dealerware
For a CCD to work, the vehicle must first be added to Dealerware.
Unsure if the vehicle has been added already? Search for the vehicle in Dealerware Mobile or Dealerware Web to confirm.
Properly Position Vehicle
Ensure the vehicle is properly positioned. The CCD will use cellular data to integrate with Dealerware and needs a strong connection during installation.
Position the vehicle outside and with a clear path to the sky.
The vehicle cannot be located in or under a:
- Building
- Garage
- Service Drive
- Canopy
- Tree
- Any other obstruction
Physically Install the CCD
After properly positioning the vehicle, you are ready to install the CCD by plugging the CCD into the OBDII port located under the steering wheel:
- Turn ignition off
- Connect CCD to OBDII port
- Turn ignition on
- Keep ignition running for 15 minutes
- Turn ignition off
After physically installing the CCD in the vehicle, you will need to verify connectivity and confirm fuel and mileage to complete Connected Car Services setup.
