You can permanently delete a customer profile at the customer's request or when a duplicate profile exists
You cannot delete a customer profile if an associated active contract exists. Active contract statuses include Booked, Pending, and Started.
You must complete or cancel any active contract associated with a customer profile before you can delete that profile
Dealerware alerts you when you attempt to delete a customer profile associated with an unsettled balance
Charge any remaining balance to the customer’s preferred payment method before deleting the profile. You cannot charge a balance to a customer’s preferred payment method after you delete the associated profile
You can view any unsettled balance by accessing Contracts in the left navigation bar. Click Billing in Contract Details to view payment information, payment history, and invoices. These details cannot be charged
Steps to delete a customer profile
Click the Customers tab in the left navigation bar
Locate a customer by entering the customer’s name in the search bar in the Customers pane. You can also click either the left navigation arrow or the right navigation arrow on the bottom right to locate a customer
Click the Overview tab in the Customer Details pane
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Delete Customer

Customer information will be anonymized and appear as "Deleted Customer" throughout the Dealerware platform and all affiliated artifacts (contracts, customer agreements, receipts, reports, etc.)
Contact Dealerware Support to request a copy of a Customer Agreement affiliated with a deleted customer profile
