Occasionally, dealers need to update the fuel and odometer readings on a vehicle in Dealerware outside of a contract, such as if an employee uses the vehicle to run errands. Dealership employees can update the fuel and odometer for off-contract vehicles in Dealerware Web.
This update can only be made on vehicles in the following statuses: Staged, Returned, In Prep, Hard Hold, and Maintenance.
If your dealership is subscribed to Dealerware's Connected Car Services, Dealerware will override any manual fuel and odometer updates the next time the system syncs with your vehicle's telematics.
How to Update the Fuel and Odometer
- Locate the vehicle in Dealerware Web from the Vehicles page or the Fleet Map on the dashboard.
- Select the Stock Number or License Plate to open the Vehicle Details drawer.
- Select the Fuel and/or Odometer field to type in a new value.
- Select the Save button at the bottom of that section in the Vehicle Details drawer.
- If you select the fields for Fuel and Odometer by mistake, you can select the Cancel button to reject any changes.
