To finish a loaner contract, watch this video or read the instructions below.
When your customer returns, it’s time to finish the loaner contract. Tap the Vehicles icon on your device and search by license plate, stock, or VIN. Select the vehicle and tap Finish Contract. Enter the ending fuel and mileage. If you use Connected Car Devices, Dealerware automatically updates fuel and mileage. Tap Save.
Verify Vehicles Details. Then, walk around the vehicle with the customer -- review the condition and document any issues. This will associate new damage with the customer’s loaner contract.
Tap Finish Contract. Tap Yes to continue, or No to return to Vehicle Details.
If there are no charges, Tap Done.
If there are charges, tap Charge Customer to process the payment. It is best practice to charge the customer at contract finish. If charges are postponed, the likelihood of cost recovery diminishes.
To process the payment at a later time, tap Charge Later. Consult your Service Director or GM regarding your dealership’s specific cost recovery policies.
Let your customer know they will receive a text with a link to their loaner receipt and final contract. Send them on their way with a smile.
