Dealerware customers with Dealerware Toll Services will have all contract tolls automatically added to the customer invoice as soon as they are imported and matched to a contract — regardless of the contract's current status. Dealerware will then automatically attempt to settle the balance when the conditions for settlement are met.
However, customers who are not enrolled in Dealerware Toll Services can still utilize Dealerware Web to recover toll citations that occurred while a vehicle was under contract.
To charge a customer for tolls:
- Search and select the relevant vehicle using the license plate provided on the toll citation
- Select Contract History
- Select the relevant Contract ID. Use the Started At and Finished At columns, along with the toll citation date, to select the correct contract
- Select Billing
- Add a Charge for the toll citation and select Charge
It is best practice to associate toll citations to the relevant contract on a daily basis. Please note only employees with accounting permissions can add charges (including toll citations), refund customers, and settle balances in Dealerware Web.
